FAQ

DAC, CDR and Sequestration Knowledge

The Paris Agreement set a target to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C. Our mission is to provide solutions that will help the global community to achieve the 1.5°C scenario.

Companies committed to addressing their residual emissions, those they can’t otherwise eliminate through operational changes, including companies in hard-to-abate industries like chemicals, petrochemicals, aviation, maritime and long-haul trucking.

At present there are roughly two dozen companies engaged in direct air capture, but on a very small scale. When STRATOS, 1PointFive’s first DAC facility, is fully operational, it will have the capacity to remove up to 500,000 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere every year. The next generation of 1PointFive DACs, already in development, have the potential to double that.
